Children Photography

Children are such a gift, and I love to document each stage of their life. Many people ask what inspires me as an artist. My answer is always the same. It’s the purity, imaginative, wonderous, and joyfulness of children that inspires me to create. When they are young, it’s all about pirate ships in the sky, and floating star sweepers in the clouds. When they are older, it’s all about THEM, who’ve they become, what hobbies they have adopted, and who they aspire to be.

"My mom heart is so happy! My high school senior, Gavin, had a session with Roxie this spring. I was very nervous because Gavin has a rare neuromuscular disease which affects his balance and energy. My mom wish: pictures of him in a suit jacket and bowtie. Gavin's wish: casting and catching the bend in the fishing pole. Roxie captured both and so much more! She thoroughly scouted the location to make sure he could navigate the terrain. Over the two hour session she was fun, efficient, and continued to check on his comfort level. He was more than comfortable- he had a great time! I will treasure these images forever. She really captured my boy- sweet, determined, and of course obsessed with fishing!"
